We recently polled our membership and asked them who they felt our charity donation should go to this year. The choice was clear: Young Lives vs. Cancer, a charity that helps families find the strength to face everything that cancer throws at them. The charity works hard to ensure that each family has what they need to get through cancer, whether that’s financial aid for treatment or a home-from-home near the hospital.

The charity is also being supported by SEDA member Jack Wilson’s wife, Debbie, who is taking on a MASSIVE challenge, raising money by competing in the 2025 TCS London Marathon, a gruelling 26.2 mile run around the streets of London on the 27th of April.

Deb held a spectacular family fundraiser on the 2nd of February at Lordswood Leisure Centre in Chatham, featuring a bouncy castle, giant gaming screens, duck-themed games and more!  A fun quiz was held later in the evening, and the SEDA committee put together its best team of knowledgeable quizzers.  Let’s just say…we didn’t win, and none of us will be appearing on The Chase anytime soon!
